The term ‘Power Of Attorney’ is an authority given by an instrument by one person, called as the donor authorizing another person, called agent to act on his behalf.
‘Power of Attorney’ is a document using which the donor can authorize another person (agent) to act on his behalf. There are two types of power of attorney, viz. General Power of Attorney and Special Power of Attorney.
Using a General Power of Attorney, the agent can make all decisions like financial, business or legal. The Special Power of Attorney, on the other hand, limits the authority of the agent. The agent is allowed to perform a specific act or some specified transactions.
